On a 2003 Server in our Web directories there is a folder of .doc files that
are set to be indexed and some get indexed but some do not! There appears to
be nothing special between those that get cataloged and those that don't. If
I query the catalog or run an asp search (as administrator who has rights to
them), it does see some files. Copying the not found files to another 2003
Server with a similar index, they are found. Can anyone provide help on how
to resolve this? Thanks.

If you copy the document to another folder, does it get indexed in the new
location? Sometimes Index Server will "miss" the NTFS event that tells it
there is a new file to index. In that instance, a rebuild of the catalog
will usually find everything.
