Hi
I'm new to FP and Sharepoint. I designed a site using FP2000 on a
Windows 2003 box and my search form worked perfectly when searching for

documentation stored in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\myweb. (When I view source
code of search.htm, useindexserver is set to 0, but the search works
fine).

Management have now asked me to move the documentation to a new
sharepoint server.
I have amended all the links in the site to look at the documentation
on the sharepoint server.
But now my search form will not display results as the documents are
not stored locally anymore.
Has anyone any suggestions on how to get around this?

Thanks

Index Server does not crawl SharePoint sites, though if you have SharePoint
Portal Server, the portal-level search can be configured to crawl regular
web sites. If you are using WSS only, things are a bit more complicated, as
WSS uses SQL Full-text for search, and there isn't an easy way to get
external processes to search a WSS corpus. (There are some SharePoint API
calls you can use, but that is probably more programming than you want to do
in this case...)
