Hi,
I want to use the index service to index our company wiki. This is a
site that is currently available internally, and soon externally (with
a username & password authentication). Someone suggested using a
search tool called Sphider to index the site, however I believe this
needs a LAMP server, and I would rather keep this on a Windows box
(which is our current web server). I've setup the Index service to
index c:\inetpub\wwwroot\wiki, and have created the ASP search page.
However, the results return the path as file:///c:\inetpub\wwwroot\wiki\data\pages\company\index.html,
how can I get the index service to index and return the path results
with the correct URL information, i.e. http://wiki.company.com/index.html.
The person who suggested Sphider says all you have to do with that is
point it to the site url, and it indexes the pages as they are
presented on the site, but I can't seem to do this using the index
service, as it needs to be either a local or network folder, not URL.
Any help, or suggestions would be appreciated
