hello to everyboty

if i search for a string containded (and I know it, the stringe is
there) in a xls file I geto no results.
If I open the file and save it then if I do a query I get the result.

It seems that index server fall asleep and do not care about xls files.
How is it possible?
tnx to all

Maybe setting the archive flag on will work.

open a command prompt and look at the settings for Attrib /?

Something like this from the root directory of your Excel files.
Attrib +A *.xls /S

Thank you very much for your suggestion; I tried to do this but the
problem is still there ...
Now the only solution is that I have to open all my xls files, change
at leat a single character and save them, so file system see that file
changed and index them; the problem in that i've got over 30,000 xls
files .... :-(((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

What about "rescan incremental" to force it?

If you do have to open them I would create a script.
