I just setup Index server yesterday. I used the example here as my guide:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/820105/EN-US/

When I query the existing "Web" catalog using the example asp.net
application, I get results I would expect. When I query the catalog I
created, I get the title back but the path is always empty. When I query
the same catalog from the index server itself it returns valid titles and
paths.

Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

- is your catalogue indexing directory(-ies) that is accessible using IIS
(if not add it as virtual directory to IIS). Don't forget proper securtity
(NTLM auth)

- check Tracking tab on your catalogue properties to be sure it's aware of
WWW server

I checked/changed what you mentioned in all my test catelogs and it appears
they are now working. Thanks for the suggestions!
