The page cannot be found - XP-IIS

I am using microsoft indexing service to index documents in a folder on
my webiste (Windows XP, IIS).
i have created a catalog, designed an asp page, and i get the search
results so this part is good.

But when i try to view any document from that folder i get this message
"The page cannot be found"

Please suggest.

is the link created by your asp correct? I mean check following:

- are you using .fields("vpath") of your results recordset for link to found
documents, not "filename" by mistake?
- is your catalogue linked to appropriate website
- are these documents accessible by http at all :-O ?

ofcourse speaking about asp I presume you generate _http_ catalogue

(maybe right-clicking on the link which leads to 404 page/properties/address
will be self-explaining)

I got it working. But i still dont know why earlier it was not working.
Earlier i had the catalog and the folder with documents to index were
the same name.

I deleted that catalog and made the folder and catalog different names
and it started working.
