Hi,
could anybody point me to a list or tool that can show me which file
extensions are handled by Indexing Service?

I believe the information is stored in the registry, but I would need to
visit a large number of classes to see their details and check if they are
handled by IS.
There must be a tool that does that! No???

Thanks for your help,
Zolt

Found my answer.
A file called filtreg.exe which is part of the Windows 2003 server SDK does
exactly this.
Unfortunately, it is not available by itself and you need to download the
400MB file, install it (because I don't know it is a component of which part).
It is located in the [installBaseDir]\bin
