Good day

I am having some trouble setting up indexing service on my machine
(running XP). I have written a website application using asp.net/c#.
This is running 100%, but I am now trying to add "search" functionality
to it.
I started by setting up a new catalog under "Indexing Service" in the
Computer Management console. I then added a new directory (the one
containing my web site) to the catalog. This directory is NOT under the
inetpub/wwroot directory (does that make a difference?)
Now using the "Query the catalog" option, I try to query my web site -
but nothing. No matter what I search for I not getting any results
back.
I have a file called "ProductDetails.aspx", when I search for
"ProductDetails" nothing is returned. ("index this resource" is enabled
for the site in IIS)

I thought maybe it had something to do with the aspx files - so I
created a text file called "blank.txt", that contains the word "blank".
When I search for "blank" nothing is returned!
This is my first attempt with indexing services, so its very possible I
have done something wrong, or have left a vital step out - but I just
can't seem to find out what.
If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreicated.

Forgot to add - I have set the catalog to point to the WWW Server -
"Default web site", which is where my virtual directory is under.
