Index Server + asp.net + Invalid catalog name 'catalogName'. SQLSTATE=42000

Hi:

I have a ASP.Net web application on Web Server Server_A. I want
query files information which were saved on an Index Server (Windows
2000 sp 4) Server_B using the web application.

I get an error : Invalid catalog name 'catalogName'. SQLSTATE=42000

But when i use a test windows applicaion which is runing on Server_B
everything is good.

SO i thought it is must be a permission error. I have read some topic
but most of the solution is use linked server. But there is no SQL
server installed on both Web server and index server. Does anybody
could give me some idea to fix the problem?

Problem fixed.
Just installed sql server 2000 and creat a linked server with local
index server , then can get access remote index server.
